Vasser Seydel

Vasser Seydel recently graduated with cum laude honors from the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. During her time in Athens, Vasser worked for the UGA’S Office of Sustainability as the Grants and Engagement Director and represented her university as the UGA Student Sustainability Ambassador. She further sharpened her business and leadership skills at UGA as the Membership Director and Rush Chairperson for Phi Mu's Alpha Alpha Chapter. Vasser pursued an education outside the classroom through internships with the United Nations Foundation and TEDWomen. After graduation, Vasser continues to promote and support her family’s legacy and commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability through philanthropic events and speaking engagements around the world. Her communication consulting work has taken her to London where she attended the Women of the World Festival, interned for the Skoll World Forum in Oxford, England and attended the first annual ROAR and Restore Retreat as a speaker.

Previously, Vasser participated in the Semester at Sea program gaining a study abroad experience while living, studying and traveling aboard a floating campus. During this time she traveled to 13 countries exploring the cultures, languages, and traditions of each country while gaining academic knowledge and understanding of world economics and marine biology. More recently, Vasser was accepted to the Cannes Lions School through the University of Georgia Grady School of Journalism. During this time, she attended the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, in Cannes France, and strengthened her skills and experience in the fields of advertising, public relations, and marketing.

Additionally, Vasser is a Turner Foundation Trustee-Elect, Turner Foundation Third Generation Board Member, Georgia Hope Scholar, member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, and member of the National Honor Society of Collegiate Scholars.
