Mayer and Morris Kaplan Family Foundation
Executive Director
Dinaz Mansuri is the Executive Director of the Mayer and Morris Kaplan Family Foundation, a multi-generational private Foundation that makes grants in excess of $2 million annually.  In this role, Dinaz oversees a robust grantmaking program focused on improving college access and completion rates for low-income, first-generation students, and addressing climate change through education and clean energy policy. She manages a board of Trustees and multiple committees which include over 25 members of the Kaplan family.  

Dinaz joined the Kaplan Family Foundation in 2005 as a program officer before being appointed to lead the Foundation in 2010. Prior to her work at the Foundation, Dinaz was a Program Director at Casa Central where she developed and managed programs for low-income seniors. Dinaz currently serves on the board of Forefront, an Illinois’ membership association for nonprofits, grantmakers, and advisors. She is also a co-chair of the CCAPS committee at Forefront, a learning network of foundations and nonprofits focused on post-secondary outcomes for low-income, first generation students. In addition, Dinaz is a board member and the Immediate-Past President of the Board of Midwest Access Project, a Chicago-based nonprofit working to increase access to comprehensive reproductive care. She also serves on the advisory council for Working on Womanhood, a program aimed at strengthening the social/emotional competencies of young women of color.

Dinaz has a B.A. in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, an A.M. in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She lives in Logan Square with her husband and twins.
